Kim Burnell

General Manager

Kim has over 16 years’ experience working in the creative and cultural sector, with a background in charity governance, arts management, and organisational development. She's worked on dance, theatre, and interdisciplinary projects, and brings particular expertise in supporting mission-driven organisations to operate ethically.

Kim has held senior leadership, trustee, and producer roles within organisations working locally, nationally, and internationally across the arts and social justice sectors. She works closely with trustees, leadership teams, artists, and community partners to embed best practice in organisational processes and policies. Her skills include strategic planning, budget management, contracting, HR, and policy creation, with a strong focus on embedding organisational values into everyday operations.

Alongside her governance and operations work, Kim holds producing and artist development roles. She previously worked for a decade for Somerset’s County Dance Agency, where she coordinated large-scale youth and community dance platforms and national touring initiatives. More recently, she has worked in senior operational and producing roles, supporting the delivery of artistic projects, organisational development, and inclusive audience engagement.
